KPU Does Not Facilitate Vision-Mission Exposure, Prabowo Team Wins

The KPU has decided not to facilitate the presentation of the vision and mission carried out by the presidential and vice presidential candidates which was previously scheduled on January 9, 2019. This decision was unfortunate by the stronghold of the presidential and vice-presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Uno.
"Frankly we regret this KPU's decision very much. The KPU should have held a presentation on the vision and mission of the presidential candidates before the candidate pairs debate was held," said Director of Material and Debate of BPN Prabowo-Sandi, Sudirman Said in his written statement on Saturday.
Sudirman explained, the importance of the candidate pairs explained their vision and mission directly so that the community knew the extent to which Paslon understood all the problems that had occurred in the nation.
"Of course, the community has the right to get information directly from the candidate pairs. How does the candidate pairs eradicate all the problems that occur in this nation need to be conveyed," he explained.
"And the extent to which the candidate pairs understand the nation's problems also need to be known to the public," he continued.
He further said that another reason why the vision and mission should be presented is that when the presidential debate takes place, the two candidates only need to provide insight into the vision and mission that will be carried out when elected as the 2019 president and vice president.
"So when the presidential debate, the candidate to the point for what became his vision and mission. Not a coachman or dream debate that made it difficult for people to promise when they were elected later. Promises to the people must be fulfilled. Not initially talking about mental revolutions but instead use infrastructure debt sales, "said the former ESDM Minister.
However, the candidate pair 02 still respected the decision of the debating organizer, in this case the KPU.
"We respect the decision of the KPU, while hoping that in the future it will be better," he concluded.
